Dr. Manjula Jeyapalan-Noone, MD, FACS
Dr. Jeyapalan-Noone graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University. She majored in Biochemistry with a minor in French and emphasis in Music (piano). She then gained admission to the College of Medicine at the University of Iowa and graduated with a Degree in Medicine in 1995.
Dr. Manjula Jeyapalan-Noone has been practicing in San Jose/Los Gatos since 2001. She completed surgical training at the University of Iowa in 2000 and a Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopy/Minimally Invasive Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas in 2001. She is one of few surgeons at Good Samaritan Hospital and El Camino Los Gatos Hospital with Advanced Training in Laparoscopy. About one third of her practice involves treatment of breast tumors, both benign and malignant. She also does thyroid and parathyroid procedures. Dr. Jeyapalan-Noone has training in minimally invasive DaVinci Robotic procedures. She also takes care of patients with advance/complex wounds at Good Samaritan Hospital Wound Care Center.
Dr. Jeyapalan-Noone was Chair of Surgery at El Camino Los Gatos Hospital and President of the Executive Council of the American Cancer Society, Silicon Valley Chapter. She still serves on the Council as an active member. Because of her involvement with the American Cancer Society, she was on the Speaker Panel as advocate for breast and colon cancer screening, and she was interviewed on television by NBC Morning News.
She has received many awards in piano competition and performed with the Fresno Philharmonic Orchestra in the past. Her medical career allows limited time to engage in musical performance. She is a supporter of the San Francisco Symphony and has been involved with multiple fundraising events on their behalf.
In 2004 Dr. Jeyapalan-Noone was invited by the American College of Surgeons to participate in a delegation of surgeons to South Africa.
Dr. Jeyapalan-Noone was most recently Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Surgery at Stanford University (2002–2017).
